I live in northwest florida and from my research I'm one of the few. I don't want to sound ignorant, but is it just a Southern thing? Why is it that alot of people down here don't even know about Green politics? I used to wear a Green Party button on my jacket and you'd be surprised how many people had no idea what it was.

Re: Greens in Florida
Mon, April 23, 2007 - 6:23 PMI think in the states and canada you will find certain areas that are more aware of the smaller parties (e.g. Green,Socialist,Libertarian, etc.) than in some other areas....I wonder if in the larger cities to the south of the state you would find the same thing?I am not too familiar with the political situation in Florida. (other than Jeb is head of state) :) And do you think the map of the US that shows the "red" and "blue" states would also indicate the areas (democrat) that are more familiar (or hold seats) with the Green Party? That would be interesting to colour in on a large map.
